Mood
Hopeful, Tender
Parental Rating

Always Remember reunites the four friends from Charlie Mackesy's first book, the curious boy, the cake-loving mole, the wary fox, and the wise horse, and sets them against a coming storm. As wind and dark gather, the four shelter together and trade the gentle truths that hold them up, about fear, kindness, hope, and the worth of simply staying close to one another. Mackesy tells it the way he tells everything, in loose ink drawings and handwritten lines, with as much room on the page as there are words. The result is a short illustrated fable for any age, built to be opened on a hard day and read in a few quiet minutes.
